Steuben Conference 2004
Some two hundred guests attended the Dialog Center’s 3rd Steuben Conference at the Palais am Fürstenwall on September 17, 2004.
This year the Steuben Conference was framed by the wreath-laying at the Steuben monument, the unveiling of a bronze tablet commemorating Steuben and most notably the first Steuben-“parade” with more than 300 participants and headed by the Da Capo Swing Band. Thanks also go to the theater Magdeburg/freiekammerspiele for the free costume loans. As a result, the parade enjoyed numerous colorfully costume participants.
In special recognition of the Magdeburg Steuben parade, the President of the German-American Steuben Parade in New York William Hetzler wrote a letter in which he expressly praised the idea of holding a Steuben parade in Magdeburg and wished the Dialog Center much success in all its undertakings.
